29 Microgaming and Derivco Isle of Man employees signed up to the blood drive and in return, Microgaming PlayItForward agreed to donate £25 for every donor. This year, a total of £725 has been raised for the chosen charity, the Joey Dunlop Foundation, an Isle of Man registered charity that provides specialist accommodation to welcome people with disabilities visiting the island. Since its inception in 2001, the Foundation has built wheelchair friendly accommodation that comes fully equipped for disabled guests and their families.
Bruce Baker, Trustee of the Joey Dunlop Foundation, comments: “Thank you to everyone who donated blood at MGS House and for the generous support Microgaming PlayItForward has given to the Foundation. The money will be a big boost to the work that we do and the donation will be directly invested in buying specialist equipment for the newly expanded Joey Dunlop Foundation apartments.”
Claire Coleman, Head of Microgaming PlayItForward, comments: “We were thrilled to not only see our highest number of blood donors to date but to also have the opportunity to support the Joey Dunlop Foundation, a new partnership for PlayItForward. The charity do such amazing work and we are very proud to support them with their latest expansion.”
